Scrub away!!!

Blueberry gel scrub

This is definitely one of my favourite scrubs just because it smells so delicious. It is just so fresh! I was sort of disappointed  to find out that they did not have a blueberry body mist, but for the timing this will do. It is a good scrub but if one is tempted to buy it again, the lure would definitely be the irresistible fragrance.

This is how the gel looks ...the exfoliating particles are actually made of blueberry seeds :o

 The Honeymania cream scrub

This smells really sweet, it is honey after all. If you have dry skin, this would be perfect for you. It leaves your skin really soft and has a sweet fragrance. Fun fact about this scrub — the exfoliating particles just dissolve onto the water on your skin after exfoliating. If you are looking for a scrub solely for the purpose exfoliating, I would not recommend this one but if you are looking for a mild scrub that smells good and works as a good moisturiser, then this is your scrub!

Mango Cheesecake!!

Mangoes are one of my favourite things about summer. They are just sooo delicious. So I tried capturing the divine taste of mango in a cheesecake!!!

Ingredients

Crust
1 1/4 cup of digestive biscuits
1/4 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of butter

Cheesecake
2 tablespoons of unflavoured gelatine dissolved in 1/2 cup of water
160g fresh cream
1 cup cream cheese
1 1/2 cup mango pulp ( preferably ripe alphonso mangoes )
condensed milk and sugar ( as to your liking )

Method

Crust
Crush the digestive biscuits. Melt the butter and mix it in with the digestive biscuit. Add sugar to the mixture and combine the ingredients evenly. Now resist the temptation to devour the mixture and patiently press it into your cake tin or the container used. If you feel that the cheesecake will stick to the side of your container, line the container with plastic wrap or cling film.

This is a zoomed version of what it should look like.

Cheesecake
Dissolve the gelatine in hot water and set aside. Whip the cream till it reaches soft peak stage. Now add the cream cheese and mango pulp to that . Add condensed milk and sugar to the mixture —  adjust according to taste. I think I used about 120ml of condensed milk as I thought it diluted the taste of mango and I used 1/4 cup of sugar. Finally, add the gelatin into the mixture. Pour the mixture into your container and keep it in your refrigerator till it sets. You can also decorate the cheesecake with mango slices.

That's all !
Have fun!
And if anybody has an easy recipe for macarons or one that does not involve almond flour, please let me know .

Recipes for lazy people...

Like all humans I tend to get hungry, now when I get hungry I can't just eat anything . And I don't want to spend hours on preparing a gourmet meal because I am kind of lazy...... So if you are anything like me I have a few recipes for you :D

Over the past few weeks I have been trying to cook. Try being the key word here. I  am an extremely clumsy person therefore my cooking is = kitchen explosion. But even then I have done my very best to come up with a few simple 10-minute  recipes.

1) Lemon tea

This is probably the healthiest recipe of them all.
You will need
1 tablespoon of tea leaves I used darjeeling tea
2 tablespoons of sugar you can use a zero calorie substitute if you want to.
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
 1 cup of water
and a slice of lemon for decoration.

   Method
Boil the water. Then and the tea leaves in the water and let them soak for about 10-15mins. DO NOT boil the tea leaves with the water. Strain the tea out and the sugar and the lemon. And there you have. It is a very beneficial healthy drink and it is so simple I feel stupid writing a recipe for it.

2) Pasta Time

Another easy but less healthy recipe. The hardest part of this recipe was boiling the pasta. Ha ha.....I almost burnt it . Anyhow, for this recipe you will need

1) 2 tablespoons of Cream cheese
2) 1/4 cups of Milk
3) 1/2 teaspoon Oregano or more
4) Grated cheese (you can use any kind of cheese you like)
4) and Pasta!

Method
Mix the cream cheese and the milk over medium heat. Heat it for about 30 seconds. Add the oregano
to it and pour it over your pasta. Then add a lot of grated  cheese over it and voila!

That's all for now. Byeeeee!!!

DIVERGENT!!

I am sort of obsessed with this book. I like reading books on long train journeys. So I got this book along with me on the train and I could not stop reading it. I actually read the whole book on the train.!! I didn't have high expectations for this book, which in a way is good . Books that I do have high expectations for usually disappoint me somehow. This book is about a 16-year-old girl who tries to find her place in a dystopian society. It is written by Veronica Roth . What I really like about this book is that it deals with romance, action, suspense with touch of humour.

This is what it looks like, sorry its a bit battered.

And here are some drawings I drew based on the book..........

Tris's family. (P.S Tris is not a crow)

 Favourite Faction

Guess what this is?

Like I said I am sort of obsessed.

I know the movie has already released. They did a decent job, I guess. But I never compare a book to its movie as the book is always better. The sequels were sort of disappointing but I love this book nonetheless.

Cadbury Cake

Cake Time!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, I made this delicious Cadbury chocolate cake. This cake is sooo easy to make and it works out well every time. Yesterday I made cupcakes and a cake since I had more cake batter than I anticipated. This is how it looked. Ok to start of with I am no baking maestro. I am sorry about how cracked the muffins are though .......

This is cake not bread.

I found this recipe on the back of the Cadbury coca powder box, so technically this recipe belongs to Cadbury.

For this recipe you will need.

1) 2 cups of flour.

2) 5 tablespoons of  Cadbury's coca powder.

3) 1 teaspoon of baking powder

4) 100gms of butter ( at room temperature)

5) 3 eggs

6) 1 cup of sugar ( I prefer granulated or icing sugar.)

7) 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

8) Milk ( this depends on how dry your batter is.)

Method

Combine the flour, coca powder and the baking powder in one bowl. Then take another bowl, first combine  the butter and sugar together to form a creamy mixture. Then add the eggs and the vanilla extract to the mixture. Then combine the two mixtures together. Now add milk, slowly to reach the perfect consistency. Add milk a little  at a time so that the mixture does not become too runny. The mixture should look something like this-

I don't know if this is weird but I often prefer eating the cake batter just like that.

After this just grease and flour your cake moulds and pour the batter into them.

Then put in the oven at 180 degrees centigrade for 30 minutes. When you take the cake out of the oven, poke a toothpick in the middle to check if it has baked thoroughly. If it has baked then let it cool for 5 minutes or so. Then flip the cake tin and gently tap the underside of the cake tin. Don't use a hammer to tap the cake tin, I speak from personal experience. If the cake does not come out drag a knife along the inner edges of the cake tin.

And that's all you can use icing on it but I am sort of lazy soooo.......

I hope you have fun making this delicious cake, Bye!!!
